New solution combines global connectivity, advanced security, and operational efficiency to transform the tracking and IoT market
BWS IoT, a reference in tracking technology in Brazil, and Links Field, a leader in IoT connectivity, have announced a strategic partnership and the launch of BWS’s first tracker featuring eSIM SGP.32 technology, which is GSMA-certified. This integration brings innovation by offering simplified global connectivity, significant reductions in operational costs, and enhanced security, setting a new standard for the transportation, logistics, and asset protection markets.
The BWS 4G tracker is already recognized for its advanced features, including jamming detection to protect against illegal interference; driver behavior monitoring, which identifies harsh braking, acceleration, and sharp turns; IP67 protection, ensuring resistance to water and dust; and remote OTA updates, enabling more agile device management. In addition, the tracker stands out for its low power consumption in deep sleep mode and high odometer-tracking accuracy, with sensors that capture detailed variations during turns.
With the certification of eSIM SGP.32 technology, the device reaches a new level of efficiency. At this stage, the BWS device uses eSIM in a plug-in format for full solution validation, already enabling remote management of carrier profiles and significantly reducing operational and logistical costs. The ultimate goal is to evolve the device to support the MFF2 (soldered eUICC) format, eliminating the need for physical SIM cards and ensuring even greater security. The solution also provides simplified global connectivity, allowing devices to operate across different regions without relying on roaming or physical SIM swaps. This commercial flexibility adds further value, enabling providers to remotely adjust connectivity contracts according to each customer’s needs.
“The BWS 4G tracker with eSIM represents a complete solution for the IoT market in Brazil. This certification reinforces our commitment to delivering advanced technologies that combine reliability, efficiency, and sustainability,” says Oswaldo Conti-Bosso, President of BWS IoT.
The solution also marks a significant advancement in commercial operations. Companies using eSIM-enabled trackers can manage connectivity more efficiently without stopping vehicles or performing manual SIM replacements. This ensures greater operational savings and a smoother experience for end users.
According to Thiago Rodrigues, CEO of Links Field Brazil, “The certification of eSIM SGP.32 in the BWS 4G creates incredible opportunities for the tracking and IoT market. This integration not only removes technical barriers but also transforms how we manage connectivity. Companies can now switch carrier profiles remotely and with great ease, without operational interruptions. It is a solution that combines innovation, security, and flexibility, fully aligned with the future of the market.”
In addition to efficiency, eSIM brings sustainability benefits. By eliminating plastic SIM cards and reducing maintenance-related travel, the solution supports ESG initiatives and reinforces the companies’ commitment to sustainability in the IoT sector.
